Irrigation Installation, Repair & Smart Controllers
In South Florida, most landscape failures trace back to water: too much, too little, or in the wrong place. A broken head or misaligned zone can brown out a lawn in a week, while an overwatering controller wastes money and invites fungus and weeds. Diamond Landscapes installs, repairs and audits irrigation systems for HOAs, commercial properties and homes across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
Repair and audits
Our crews diagnose and fix broken heads and nozzles, leaks, stuck valves, wiring faults and controller problems. An irrigation audit runs every zone and checks coverage, pressure and spray patterns. It also confirms that the schedule matches local watering rules. Many water bills and dry spots come down to a few adjustments.
Installation and upgrades
We install new systems and expand existing ones for new plantings and renovations. We also upgrade old timers to smart controllers. Smart controllers can adjust run times based on weather or soil conditions and skip cycles when it rains, which helps keep the property within watering restrictions.
Staying within the rules
All three counties we serve fall within the South Florida Water Management District, which sets year-round landscape irrigation restrictions. Cities and counties may adopt their own schedules, so we program controllers to match the rules where your property is located.
For communities and commercial sites
For HOAs and property managers, irrigation problems usually surface as resident or tenant complaints. Regular inspections as part of a maintenance program catch issues early. Your account manager reports what was found and fixed.
We've served more than 1,000 properties over 15+ years in South Florida.

Frequently asked questions
What are the watering rules in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade?
SFWMD's year-round landscape irrigation rule prohibits landscape watering between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and limits it to two or three days a week, depending on your local government. Reclaimed water is exempt. Check your exact days with SFWMD's lookup tool at lwr.sfwmd.gov or with your city or county.
How much water does a South Florida lawn need?
According to SFWMD, a healthy landscape typically needs only 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week during the summer growing season, and less in cooler months. Rainfall counts toward that total.
Do I need a rain sensor?
Florida law requires automatic irrigation systems to have a working device, such as a rain sensor, that turns off the system when there has been enough rainfall. Sensors should be checked periodically.
Why does my sprinkler leave dry spots?
Common causes include clogged or misaligned heads, mismatched nozzles, low pressure, or heads blocked by grown-in plants. An audit identifies which applies.
